PLan a visit

Sundays at 10:00a

We know visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. We want to help make your first experience at Cornerstone a great one! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

We meet every Sunday morning at 10:00a at Cornerstone Church of Augusta (1156 Tinkling Spring Rd) in Staunton. Children's programs for kids birth-8th grade. Learn more about what to expect below.

What's the experience like at CCA?

Our Sunday Gatherings are authentic, fun and relaxed, but also intentional. Our gathering lasts about 90 mins. Through powerful worship, practical Biblical messages and creative media. we present the truths of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your life, even if you've never been part of a church before. There is no dress code, so dress comfortably. Our pastors usually do.

Fun: We don't always think that "fun" and "church" should go together, but at Cornerstone we certainly try. We believe that church should be a fun place where people are free to laugh and enjoy the good life God has given us.

Friendliness: Of all places church should be one where people are warm and friendly. When you enter you'll find smiling faces eager to welcome you. We don't consider you a visitor but a guest, and after that, you'll be part of the family.

Communion: We celebrate the life Jesus has given us through His death and resurrection by observing Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month.

Baptism: We celebrate water baptism for those who have decided to follow Jesus. While we believe that deciding to follow Jesus is a personal decision, it was never intended to be a private one. Water baptism becomes a public confession of faith whereby the body of believers can rejoice together.

Do you have programs for kids?

Absolutely! We believe that kids are the church of today, so here at CCA kids are a big deal and so is our C.kids ministry. At Cornerstone, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. All of our C.kids volunteers have a current background check. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our children's environments the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for our children's ministry.

Nursery - A nursery is available for mom's of newborns with a TV in the room that broadcasts the worship service live.

Toddler Nursery - Children walking up to 2 years old are invited to enjoy the toddler nursery. They'll find an assortment of age appropriate toys and books and a team of nursery workers to supervise and play with them.

C.kids - children 3 through 4th grade. We seek to make C.kids your child's favorite day of the week! So we make sure games are out-of-this-world FUN, music is loud, Bible lessons are captivating, and leaders are caring.

C.R.E.W. - "Christ Ready Equipped Warrior" ministry. This ministry meets every Sunday morning for grades 5th-8th grade. Their team comes ready every Sunday to meet your children's spiritual needs by equipping and cultivating them with the Word of God. They have lots of fun, games and snacks along with interactive teachings & worship.

Do I need to come to church?

Deep question. Bible speaks about this in Hebrews 10:25 "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near". Here at CCA we believe in community and gathering together as the body of Christ. We are made for relationship and to encourage one another. We do this safely in the season we are in with COVID.

We also recognize that this season we are in is a difficult one, and for some, this means not being able to gather in large groups due to underlining illness, complications, or job situations. So here at CCA we have a wonderful online ministry that is both interactive and personal to meet the needs of those who are in community at afar.

COVID-19 Updates - Our service on Sunday has returned to normal. We're committed to creating a safe environment for you and your family, and we are continuing to monitor community COVID-19 rates and best practices for gathering safely. We clean often, run an OZONE Purifier in the sanctuary after our services. We also have hand sanitizer stations throughout the church and have mask available upon request.

Here’s how you can help:

  • If you don’t feel well or have health concerns, please stay home and join us Online
  • Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer often.
  • Check out our social media for specific updates and information.
